I’m working on my 1960 Chevy pickup(slightly modified 350 small block and TH350). It’s a really good drive/cruiser.
My 16 year old grandson has become very interested in cars lately and I am doing a little upgrading on it because I want to let him bracket race it. I want to put a brake booster on it but the only ones I can find specifically made for this truck all say they are a power brake booster. These trucks didn’t come with a brake booster or “power” brakes just the old standard hydraulic brake system.

My question is can I use the booster and reservoir for the power brakes on here?

Thanks in advance for any guidance on this.

I had a 63 and you are correct, they did not put power brakes on them back then.
Honestly, I believe the "Booster" is basically the only difference between power / non-power brakes.
I would imagine the master would need to be changed, but not positive. I would check with the source of the booster that you found, if they say it is made for that truck. Ask about what M.C and any other changes that would be required. (Thinking possibly the brake actuator rod from the pedal would possibly be different).

This guy sells a very nice bracket made for adapting power brakes on a 60-66 Chevy C10. He also fabs brackets for adapting later model power steering to 60-66 C10's. I've installed both on my 64 C10. High quality parts, and he can advise you on what booster and master to use.
