I'm ordering a new hood setup for my car. Just curious if the placement of the scoop matters? Does the carb need to be a certain area of the scoop? Back of the scoop, middle or front or is there no difference as long as it is sealed to the carb?

I saw some testing a long time ago about dead air spaces in the scoop so it does matter. I don't remember the exact findings or where I was reading it but the shape of the scoop will change where those dead spots are. Testing will be the only true way to find out where that is, unless someone has already done it with the scoop you have.
