I am out of the loop in ref to electric fuel pumps have been running belt drive pumps for the last 15 or so years. For my Vette build with around 750 horse gas, tell me the current, reliable, proven system. Pump and regulator?

Why not stay with a belt drive pump?

Denis, it is a valid question and one I have considered. For this combination I have decided electric is my overall best option.

IF I were going to run an electric pump it would probably be a Weldon and an Aeromotive regulator.

We have run this in our Firebird for 9 yrs now !!!!

Easy mounting/plumbing and has been flawless on gas or alcohol

We use their fuel log and regulator too.

We use the Holley drop-in fuel cell pump module. IMO, the Aeromotive set-up posted/linked by HS professor is the best.

I have been running a Magnafuel for a year without issue. Next option for me would be aeromotive, as alot of friends use them with success.

Make sure your water pump is on whenever you check your coolant level.

Used to sell Magnafuel pumps at the racecar shop. Great customer service and rebuildable by the user if needed.

Magnafuel was Magnaflow, a 5 vane pump design which was the 2nd fuel pump company started by John Rademacher, the first was Superflow which was a 3 vane pump and it/he made the original BG fuel pump. His last fuel pump company was Product Engineering, a 7 vane pump which was sold years ago.

Weldon is the best IMO. I have used them all I figure if there stuff is good enough for the FAA and NASA good enough for me. We have them on all our cars but one. THats only because I have not gotten around to changing the mangnfuel out.

Weldon regualtors as well. No tools required to change the carb regulator. Just turn the knurled knob..

On the Vette

I run a stock style pump driven off cam,no regulator. 5.70's simple set up if you have the room for a stock style pump.

I'm really considering upgrading my cell/pump to the same part you linked. I will have to weld on some tabs for mounting & make a couple new lines. I need to decide soon & get it done.

It started life as a Dart Little Chief deal, this is just a SB after all Smile Tom Slawko is responsible for the modifications to it. They are pretty extensive for sure but still retains the original runners and water manifold. This is on a 400"SB that sees 10,400 rpm with that 2.45" carb Smile

For a BBC the Dart Box ram is a very good intake for a Big Chief style head. I do have a 208-10 Profiler taking up space that is brand new if you are looking.

Yes we ran a heads up race at the Mopar race earlier this year. Thats about the only time we will be there every year. Although after last year the class may not want us Cool They didn't want us for road kill unfair I guess. They no longer have an all motor class at street car so we won't be there.

Here isa video from Vegas earlier this year. Round one against the second fastest car there.

This is the 5 gallon Aeromotive set-up. Pump, return and vent. I welded 4 tabs for mounting and added an extra -10 bung in the bottom in case we ever want to go belt pump. Have the same set-up in the truck but use the 15 gallon cell and removed and capped off the electric pump hole because we use a belt drive pump.
