I have experienced no noticeable difference in engine parts wear and tear with or without lube. I do have a question - pick your favorite brand of methanol, but if it has a 99.95% minimum purity - what really can be done to enhance its quality or is it no longer 99.95% pure methanol?This message has been edited. While I have formula mine is not for cars.LOL Also run chem source. Seems better than most. i have run few top lubes never found one to be total corrosion proof. Less b ut still get some and I filter all fuel to jug,from jug to tank and inline filter. Plus is chem source is pure as hell and saves me good amount of cash of track price and better than others by barrel. America home of free. Brought to you by 2nd amendment. | |||

Alcohol is hygroscopic and absorbs moisture from the air. If it is in your tank or carb it has to be vented and can draw moisture. If you have a little in the cylinders when you shut it down it will start corroding. Even Chemsource if it is alcohol will do that and I think would need toplube. I agree with Chris do not think any alcohol is corrosion proof but do think top lube helps. To me 99.9% pure is the same no matter what the brand name on it is. Agreed. When I used MFI, although I would shut off BV and leave engine run out of fuel there would still be some fuel in the lines that would weep out. Running a primer plus addressed this issue. I switched to EFI (methanol) and can turn the injectors off with the engine running leaving the intake dry when engine stops. | |||

I have before. Ran grape and cherry. The last time I ran the Mile High Nationals in Denver, I was tempted to run Refer scent, but I didn't have the guts when it came time. Could you imagine what the officials would have done if they thought they smelled pot coming from the car?????
