Good evening. After having a friend go through an almost fire scare with his car a few months ago and a few conversations with a few others about race car fires, I'm curious what others are doing/using for fire suppression in their race cars. Seeing what a friend installed, has me seriously considering a system like his, that covers engine bay and drivers compartment. What manufacturers/systems do y'all use and like. Cost, installation and other factors as well. Big tire door car specific. Thanks.

Hard to go wrong I would say.
I installed one many moons ago, it's pretty straight forward. I believe it was a Firebottle system.

If I installed a system, I would have an external option to set it off, like next to the battery shutoff, in case you end up unconscious or unable to pull the trigger on it.

Thanks. I've looked online and kind of surprised in how affordable they are. Considering a 3 nozzle system positioned to hit engine bay on fuel side, drivers area and trunk where fuel cell & battery sit. I had not considered the external activation as you suggested. That will likely be a part of my install as well. Thanks again.

I have a 10 lb system in the trunk. Nozzles plumbed to drivers compartment and then on drivers side of the engine bay
