Head and Neck Restraints

RymoHead and Neck Restraints
Lets hear some pro's and con's about the way they fit. Not interested in the theories but much more the brand to brand differences. Can you be sitting in the car and pull you helmet and restraint into and on your head? Do all require the install to be on the head prior to sitting in the seat? specifically for dragsters what are the tricks of getting in the car with one on. The impact looks to be the smallest most compact, rivaling the hans then the hybrid types. Pro's and Con's to those?

BallzNecksgen here. Real easy to put on. I get in car, arm restraints in lap belt, put necksgen on shoulders, pull shoulder harness over, connect everything. Put helmet on, and connect tethers to helmet. Put gloves on and ready to rock.

183NI have a Necksgen Rev and my wife has the Necksgen Rev 2. Very happy with them, I can't even tell it's on. Way more comfortable than a neck brace for me.
We do it just the way Ballz said. I drive up to the lanes with the Necksgen clipped to one side of my helmet that sits on the roll cage with the helmet hook. Very easy to use.

Same here. Really easy. You can hook your thumbs in the teather clips and when you grab the front of the buckle it guides them right in.
I can see where the one J.R. posted wouldn't be much different to strap in with.

RT82CamaroI use the Simpson hybrid pro. I've worn it in 3 different cars with different style and degree layback seats. No problems with comfort or fit with these seats. I can put my helmet on and buckle the restraint to it while in the cars with a f/c cages. I'm short so its easy. Taller drivers may have to put it all on before getting in.

SP 124XI've used the Simpson hybrid sport and necksgen rev. Both were comfortable for me in my dragster. I find the necksgen easier to hookup.

Tony BarrettI have a dragster. I have the rev version. I clip it on after tech and leave it attached the rest of the race.
