Someone like myself being deep in parts cost, I can save money doing it myself. I also like trading labor for things I need. I've done stuff for Reher, Schraioff, Panella, Patterson, Luke, Driscoll, etc. All great at what they do. Another thing to think about. In todays world the bigger shops get fed first with parts. Like Scott and Ed said, I would pick a builder that does well with what your building. Everyone has a niche.

That sounds interesting. What model car and what type hood? After seeing a hand full of cars racing without the hood, I’ve been tempted to try this with my car. Not so much speed increase, but servicing the fuel cell after a run would be much easier than the lift off hood I have.

If you're really from the DC area then youll see more than enough engines including mine from nesbitt performance out of NC. Had them do a 582 20 degree motor and they treated me real good. Give em a shout

I don't know exactly where the cell is located. Maybe you could install a fuel access door. https://www.jerrybickel.com/fu...ce-mount-carbon.html The majority of my runs are made without a hood for various different reasons, but they look so much better with them on. 2BKING 1980 Camaro Taking the Best Working Small Tire Shyt Box & making it Greater Than Before! 3000 lbs.
