^^^^^^ not how I would wire. Starter and alternator shares the same terminal to battery isolated from ignition/ relay panel. Sharing the same cable and size from battery to starter/ alternator is my method. | |||

Put a Ford starter relay right beside the switch and then the Ford relay is terminals B in the Moroso wiring diagram. The extra two terminals are unnecessary and there will be less voltage drop in the system. Alternator wire connects to battery side of the switch. Easy and negates the need for the 4 terminal switch. (My car has the 4 terminal switch and the second set are not connected.) Matt Ward | |||

This is how mine is wired, starter circuit uses a Ford solenoid so the alternator is wired from the batt. side of the Ford relay. Ignition/relay panel is fed with a cable from the shutoff switch. | |||

Mine is wired like the diagram Rodney shared. No relays. 8 Gauge to Alt, 1/0 cable to Battery and Starter. Just make sure that you test it afterward, by turning the switch to Off while the car is running, and it should shut down. Dan "Jim" Moore Much too young to feel this damn old!! | |||

Mine is similar to the diagram, but I go battery+ to A terminal with a short jumper wire to B terminal. Other side of A goes to ford starter solenoid, other side of B goes to alternator. | |||

183N - (is it Mike?) Just to clarify, is your A-B jumper on the "Input" (Battery) side of the switch? (Right side in the diagram)? You want the jumper on the Left/Output side, which is isolated from the battery when the switch is Off. Otherwise you have B+ hot running the length of the car from Battery to Alternator, even when the switch is cut off. Not good if there is a mishap on the track. Whatever method you decide consider this. If using an alternator, sharing the cable feed from the battery to starter for the alternator will allow for a higher charging amperage/ voltage when conditions warrant it. | |||

Jumper is on input (right) side, but alternator lands on one output(left), ford starter solenoid and electric panel on other output. The wire from switch to alternator is cold when the switch is off. | |||

I keep the ignition separate from the starter/alternator circuit. Run the heavy alternator wire to the batt side of the Ford solenoid. | |||
