I’d like to hear opinions on who makes the best trans brake solenoid for a powerglide.
Referring to fully enclosed units.

Beware of the different "throws" for different brands. Hughes seems to have a longer throw than most.

I use a Hughes solenoid in my door car with a Hughes valvebody, and an FTI solenoid in my dragster with a BTE valvebody.

No problems with either.

Replaced my 1999 Coan with a FTI unit last year.
I suspected a variance on the Coan but that hasn't proved true, it's the spare now. Over 3500 runs on it.
