That was kind of the bonus when I switched to the Mezere. You can even hear that there is so much less runout. Checking tooth clearance is the same all the way around.

| I use a $68.00 Pioneer SFI tagged 168 tooth. Over 550 runs on it, not much horespower, around 600 I guess. 3000-lb S10 runs 6.40s. I never start it without spinning before I hit the "ON" switch and it has NEVER kicked back. 406", alky carb, 12.2:1, 38-degrees with no start retard. Made sure the starter gear was engaged correctly and it works every time. probably 3500-4000 starts on it and the Powermaster starter so far. No doubt billet and others are "better" but if what you have works that extra $400.00 buy a lot of entry fees and fuel to get to the races. Just sayin'. Jok |
