That was kind of the bonus when I switched to the Mezere. You can even hear that there is so much less runout. Checking tooth clearance is the same all the way around. Foxtrot Juliet Bravo

What brand was on the stocker that came apart after the burnout and went through a competitor's car? Don't buy that brand.

Why a 168? I use a Ati 153 which works well

I'm pretty sure that was an OEM piece. Tony Leonard

I use a $68.00 Pioneer SFI tagged 168 tooth. Over 550 runs on it, not much horespower, around 600 I guess. 3000-lb S10 runs 6.40s. I never start it without spinning before I hit the "ON" switch and it has NEVER kicked back. 406", alky carb, 12.2:1, 38-degrees with no start retard. Made sure the starter gear was engaged correctly and it works every time. probably 3500-4000 starts on it and the Powermaster starter so far. No doubt billet and others are "better" but if what you have works that extra $400.00 buy a lot of entry fees and fuel to get to the races. Just sayin'. Jok
