I am betting it will be near or over $300 before you get it back in your hands.

I spent half the afternoon going to Lowe's looking for the box a previous poster said they had...

Totally my fault for creating a wild goose chase

Went to closest Lowes without looking online first and wandered around in the storage dept. Found boxes but nothing that would work

Went home, looked online and saw the perfect box at a Lowes 15-20 miles away....Did not know where that store is but just assumed it was on the highway where everything else is.....Drove down there and never found the store.....got shoved off the highway thanks to road construction and drove a ton getting no where. Could not get any help from my phone. Drove home

Looked online and the first store I went to shows 3 in stock......Jump back in my truck and right on up again to that store....

Look where their supposed to be and don't see them......ask an employee and she knows exactly where IT is, there is only one left !

Got it and some bubble wrap.....It's in the box now...

Oh I forgot to mention earlier, before noon I went to a UPS store and a Staples.....UPS store had flimsy boxes, Staples had none of the only size that was close...

Gave me something to do for the day....

Whatever it costs I can't change...

My spare is a stock case and is a very good trans......Abruzzi built and now with a Coan Billet Al, VB and all good internals....and it won some races for me....

It's a little late now but if you are in a pickle again check Uhaul for their moving boxes. Many different sizes.

Lowes has the perfect box

18x18x16 and heavy duty enough it should survive the trip

Shipping is $43 up but back I don't know yet

Anytime I've ordered P/G parts from TSR the shipping seemed very high.....

It's in the box waiting for me to drag it over to my local Staples UPS dropoff site.

Today I locked my self out of the house......Luckily my son who is minutes away and has keys...

I was in a rush to tip the power company lineman who fixed an issue with my service drop cable

Cable was lower than 13'6" and nearly got clipped by a truck this morning. I watched a truck slowly drive forward with the cable slightly dragging on his trailer box...

Would have been the 3rd time that service has been severed or ripped off the house !

A call to JCPL and within a couple hours a bucket truck was here and the problem fixed.....and he did my neighbors too ! The same problem

Amazingly fast service and it's been a problem for a long time......I should have called sooner....

Kudo's to Jersey Central Power and Light !!!

Yea we're definitely gonna be close to $300

All for nothing really....

Lets add in my labor doing the trans and some rags and speedy dry and BrakeKleen and carb cleaner and a can of paint cause I'm gonna paint that case when it comes back...And some electricity since I wire wheeled the entire case with a hand drill.....

We are nuts to do this stuff but in a good way and trust me I'm loving doing it !! And that is no lie....

I have no doubt that it is simply a visual inspection.
No visual cracks, no modifications, no grinding on it and the liner is also visually checked and it gets SFI stickers and new numbers stamped in it

This case was done at least once before....last time by TSR....and that was 5 years ago

Mine arrived at Reid on Wednesday and they are already on their way back to me today.

I’ll have almost exactly $500 total in getting 2 cases done with shipping both ways.

I have two ATI cases. One in use and one out dated stored in the garage. The in use one is good to 8-2024. In 01-24 I'll ship the outdated one to get certed.

My spare Abruzzi built trans with stock case has many runs on it behind various engines all with 7 second power.

The Input shaft broke with less than 20 runs. Was a 300M powerglide spline and broke an inch from the end in the converter. An easy fix

Marco sent me a free Vasco shaft and that one never broke

Since then, I switched to Turbo inputs and spragless converters and never had any trans/converter/input failures

Both Trans look like new anytime I’ve had them apart

Powerglides are amazingly reliable with good aftermarket parts inside

Using the stock case trans is far easier when it comes to changing shields when they expire.

They look unusual anymore since everyone uses aftermarket cases especially in dragsters

My case is on its way to TSR

If cases had been readily available, I would have bought one and sold mine for sure.

I got a stock case in my dragster.
The one with the two holes in the bell!
Built years ago by someone who you probably know.

That's typical for powerglide spline input shafts.

Have TSR send ya back a couple hi-flow filter kits, you'll like em on there. Money well spent.

Back a few years ago when Reid cases were readily available for about $900 new from Jegs, I sold an out of date case to a grudge racer for $600 and basically got a new one for $300.
