Makes absolutely no sense to spend money with the second guy as the first company would almost always stand behind the new product sold.
Dyno? Last time Randy adjusted one of my carbs at the track it went faster...no dyno required...if I got a problem they go back to APD and no additional charges occur. I live in Texas and ship to Ohio...no big deal.
Seems like a waste of time and money to deal with someone else on a new product.
I now own 4 APD carbs (3 alky, 1 gas)...last I checked all these other carb guys that work on them never manufactured a carb...they only want to tell all of you how screwed up your new carb was when you bought it, then charge the crap out of you...NOT THIS GUY...EVER.
YES, I am a satisfied customer from APD with proof they got good stuff!
Bolted on an APD Carb out of the box and still have not even touched it or adjusted it. The Carb was absolutely spot on from bolt on. Will send in for a freshen up |

| It's unfortunate that there are crooks out there but I have found out that MOST of the time if I get several references from people then they are okay. Notice I said most of the time.

| He's going to get a lawyer. Good for him. He's not got one leg to stand on. It's not slander if it was written about him, that's actually libel. That being said, if it is true, such as in this instance (and several others), he has no case. I would consider getting together with some of the other people he's burned and putting all of your facts together to file criminal charges.

| I can't comment on the TRC issue other than he will not likely get any more oval blade carbs. And at the moment there isn't parts available to build complete carbs, that will be fixed soon, maybe by the first of the year. As soon as that happens I should have the ability to build them again. With rare exceptions I don't collect a dime until the product is completed, tested, and ready to ship... | “With rare exceptions I don’t collect a dime until the product is completed, tested, and ready to ship...” One reason my carburetor is at Mark’s right now.
