Has a P0457 code (small leak in the evap system) tried a new gas cap....didnt help

On my dodge truck ki had a cracked ftiting in the line from fuller neach to tank/pump. May not be issue just my problem at the time.

Those pesky fuller neaches are a s-o-b
to track down.

Should be a test port somewhere and the proper test would be to use low pressure nitrogen and pressurize and check for leaks. I'd look at the lines for the EVAP system and trace them back to the tank looking for a leak or crack. Find the sensor and check the plug for moisture/dirt. This is just generic, I know little about Subaru.

Dave, I have a permanent answer for your problem.

California has 18 "Smog Exempt" Counties. Pick one and register your vehicle there. My favorite is Julien, California. One of our daughters is building a house near Julien, so my RV will be parked there.

The last two smog tests cost me more than $3600 (combined). NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
