Dave, how would bead locks stop leaking sidewalls?

a little update to this .
all leakage seemed @ bead .
Ok steelies leaked when fitted dry .
Soaped tyres , dry bead , leaked .
Refitted and glued bead - leaked .
OK not so good as these were going flat almost as you watched .
Maybe its more the rim ?
Got out his Centreline Autodrags .
Glued rim as per how I fit radials , have run radials on these rims , aired up to 30 psi .
No /minimal air loss , maybe 1 lb overnight .
Mate does not want to drill these rims , plus drill valve hole if tubes fitted .
See how they go we are racing on 10-11 January .

Did you clean the rims before inflating? Never had bead leakage if the rims and the tire bead were cleaned thoroughly.

Eman ,
yes I did . This set just would not seal on steelies .Old set of "W"s were fine .
