from my experience, scoops are just a place to put your car number. I doubt you will see much gain from swapping them....

Dead on. I'd be willing to bet most cars would see a minimal difference if it was turned around backwards

I think there is a considerable difference depending on the scoop shape. The first scoop I had on my dragster was a somewhat older scoop, almost identical to the harwood Aero Comp III scoop. When I changed to the scoop I have now, I picked up more than a full tenth and over 3 mph with nothing else changed. Yes, I confirmed it was the scoop that made the change....

But with the newer ones out there, I'm not sure they would make a difference unless something is in the way of one and not the other....

Was that in Colorado though? Reason I'm asking is, I talked to a few people who ran Vortech or Pro Chargers on some top sportsman cars out there and they said they couldn't make full boost up there until they cut a hole in the nose.

Just wonder if its due to lack of oxygen? Would it matter less at sea level?

Of course it matters as the O2 is less at altitude and that is not taking in consideration for the DA factor.

Make two passes back to back, one with and one without. Might be surprised.
