So got a nearly new TBS HH 8-71 full open top and bottom, billet rotors, single white strip on ends of each lobe. Intent is to install on a 598 BBC, looking for 8-12 psi to start out with, roughly 1500-2500 DA for most days. Any guesses on the OD i'm going to need? When I run Spud's calculator, I'm just looking at blower output chart, 500 CI/Rev is a bit high for this particular blower. I was thinking the high end of the scale for 8.71s (500 CI/Rev) would be reserved for retro/delta opening multi strip full race blowers. This blower is nice but its not that.

Any experience with these?

Thanks,

Kris

I have a similar 8/71 on a 582. In decent air, 10% OD nets 9-10 psi of boost. Mine does has 18 point stripping with a full open bottom.
