I called Chris Barker last week for the 3074S and he said his supplier was out of MT. I’ll go back to Hoosier if they aren’t available when I need them.

Remember, Goodyear bought M/T so there may be some kind of transition going on.

The tide has turned, there is a mass exodus happening right now from empties to Hoosier at least with the bubbas. Many have moved to Hoosier’s C1550 while some have gone to Goodyear’s 15” tire.

So I just spoke with my Mickey guy yesterday and Goodyear as of yesterday has not signed the papers yet to buy MT or Cooper. In spite of any rumors revolving around tires being discontinued that is a false statement. The factorys are behind but so is most everything in the industry.

I need new tires for my car pretty soon. 32 x 14.5 x 15 Stiff Sidewall for 3000 lb car. Whats my best bet? The hoosiers that are on it now are D05 compound.

Seem to be working on my other car well (They're alot newer, but came with that car). 5.90s @ 3000 lbs

Both cars came with the tires, so no clue how many runs or how old they are.

Ed, Tell me what I am doing wrong, I got a whopping 240 runs on my big bubbas and a fresh set ready but can't justify replacing them, they print .990 to 1 flat 60's... And they hold air too...
Big Grin

How's the new combo running? See ya next week at the Grove

I never see anything significant about people running dragsters, particularly fast ones, on Goodyears. I see it now and then. Not often. Anyone here?

What kind of significant things are you hoping/expecting to see?

Every dragster I’ve ever seen go 300+ mph has been on Goodyears. That’s pretty cool.

I have a buddy running TD using Goodyear slicks. Running mid 6.20s @220 but I'm not sure if that is significant or not. He's been on them since the start of 2020 I believe.

How many pieces would a radial end up in, at those speeds?

Makes ya wonder if those racers are anywhere near, approaching it's speed limit.

Quoted for the TRUTH Laughing Hard

New combo was just as deadly last week as the one it replaced. Heading to Numidia in a few hours for the 150 weekend. See you next week.

That's because like Pro Stock tires NHRA will not let anyone else in. It is possible that nobody else wants in either...?
Hoosier does not grow like the GY and thats the big issue,,

Glad I ordered my 3074S rears in March from Summit. Price matched at $306 each. Still have another 30-40 runs left in the tires on the truck.
