You are still wrong in your statement Mikey....You stated there is an NHRA rule that requires you to start your car in park. No there isn't. There is no rule stating that any vehicle must be in park to start it at any time, because there are vehicles that do not have a park in their transmission. So you're saying that a Lenco has to be in park? A B&J has to be in park? A fuel car has to be in park? NO. Also, nowhere in the rules does it state park must function. Only that an automatic equipped vehicle must have a functioning neutral safety switch in it. You can ad lib this all you want, but you are still wrong. The rule clearly states that either the driver must be seated in the car, or if they are not, the driveline must be removed....that neither states nor implies the car must be in park. I could easily put this car back on the street in it's original condition with factory steel rally wheels. It still has the factory GM Nova wiring harness and starts with a key.
