I have the 2 piece Strange rotors and they are starting to look like stop signs.
The stainless replacement rotors are double the money. Are they worth double the money for performance and longevity?
Will they "Stop Sign" too?
Do the stainless use a different brake pad?

Thanks,
Jamie

Pretty sure Paul, adv ET 266 on here started using them for that very reason and it stopped it for him. You might PM him about it.

I don't see how that would matter, the slots in the rotors are the cause. If you are going any speed, do yourself a favor and upgrade to MW or Lamb. You will save money in the long run between added pad life and not having to replace rotors! And they stop better too!

I tried them after talking to Paul about his findings. I used them for a season after following of Strange Engineer's advice. My answer was to put Mark Williams on the following winter.

Wish I had done it sooner. Car stops better and a lot more precise staging.

Thanks guys,
I'm only keeping this car for this season and maybe next at the most. I'll order the regular ones for now and hopefully the new car I buy will have something else on it or I'll upgrade that car instead.

I am using Moser brakes and they have been great. No rotor problems and I stop from 225 MPH no chute a lot of the time.

Fuzz - too lazy to pack the chute.

That's pretty ugly J.R. Lucky it didn't become a serious issue.
We switched from Strange carbon to Mark Williams carbon, Steve is happy camper with the MW's.
You still coming to Denver?

They all do something. Heat is the enemy. The new floating rotors seem to work well. Strange and Willwood have them.
Found more cracks in the other hat as well.
But 10 years of service.....

We have run the Strange one piece front disc rotors for 10 plus years on a '68 Camaro bracket car. Replaced both after one cracked after somewhere around 400 runs. Started using the softer disc pads and have probably 500 plus passes with no issues. We just run 1/8 mile at about 120 MPH. I guess we are doing something wrong.

Will any of these rotors work with a willwood 140-0264B brake kit? I have 15" wheels.
I would like to switch systems, so I need to look at that. But right now I probably need to throw some rotors at it to get through this coming race weekend and as long as I can get out of them.

That sum***** must be defective, should be going 230!

Honestly we are very happy with our Moser Stainless also on our new cars. Seeing much better results.

You will need a pad designed for stainless though.
