Converter slipping around 17%, I bet it's consistent like that.
Good luck with it.

Probably nothing. The FTI one is probably a Sonnex..lol
I've noticed that as well.

329LHow old is that hipster valvebody? I ask because i had one burning everything up, or tearing stuff up in 2-3 passes. Replaced valvebody and KNOW the transmission is still in perfect shape.

391TIt was used when I got the trans and I've had it for 10 years. I changed the valve body this time so maybe that was the issue?

DON KALINAYOU MENTIONED J.W. CASE...I'VE SEEN THIS 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 10 YEARS....ALL J.W. CASES...FOUND OUT WHY BY MOCK ASSEMBLY OF THE REVERSE CLUTCH
PLATE & LARGE SNAP RING....THE CNC CUT FOR THE REVERSE CLUTCH PLATE IS TOO DEEP...020-.040 TOO MUCH...WHEN THE LARGE SNAP RING IS INSTALLED
YOU'D THINK THE REVERSE CLUTCH PLATE WOULD BE NICE & TIGHT IN PLACE...IT'S NOT..I COULD PUT BOTH HANDS ON IT & IT GOES UP & DOWN...SO WHEN YOU
GO FOR REVERSE OR APPLY THE TRANS. BRAKE IT TAKES A SIDE TO SIDE HIT...NOT A FLUSH HIT...THE STOCK ONES ARE POT METAL...ONLY CURE IS AN
AFTERMARKET REVERSE CLUTCH PLATE...HOPE THIS HELPS...THANKS...DK..

adv ET 266I’d be measuring the Empty case from Bottom of the friction/steel stack to the top area the ring sits in. Check 12, 3, 6 and 9 clock angles to .001. Also was the ring free to move before the snap ring was installed. Not in a lateral bind?
