I have a persistent, (and infuriating) issue with a leak at the rear accelerator pump on a Dominator. 6.0 pounds of fuel pressure, never higher. I replaced the regulator to be certain the pressure was at 6.0 pounds, didn't change pressure.

I changed every gasket on the carburetor, twice , still leaks. Including the metering block gasket the bowl to metering block gasket, still leaks, the bowl skrew gaskets, still leaks. I checked the flatness of the bowl-housing it was dead flat. I still change the 50cc pump housing, still leaks.

Now here is the really, really insane part....I even changed carburetors, a Carb Shop 1050 to a APD Max-Flow 1250, same leak. I change the AN fittings, still leaks. I changed the -6 fuel line, still leaks.

I'm out of ideas......anyone with an idea??

Sounds like you checked everything! I'll take a look when I'm there, fresh set eyes might find something or not.

I used two types of gasket materials, the first were original Holley gaskets, the second set (Metering block, bowl and accelerator pump assembly) came from APD.

I carefully checked the small ridges that create a dam to contain the gas flow, everything looked great. As of 3:00 today (Sunday) the problem appears to be corrected

Best "Guess" is that there is a small crack in the 50 cc housing or the area on the bowl where the housing seats. Having someone zyglow the bowl isn't worth the expense I'll buy another bowl and a spare 50cc pump assembly.

The odd thing is that I have the same issue with the APD Max Flow 1250. I'll repeat the same process I used on the Carb Shop 1050.

The common denominator is the fuel log/lines....Change it and your issue will disappear.....

I did have a problem with acc pump kits a while back. First I noticed the 30 cc pumps lost stroke and so did the 50cc. Side by side you see it. They didn’t seal well either. Came from summit in kits. Offshore? Who knows. Had spares in the trailer that worked.
