What heat range are you running on alky? I have a 598 BBC with a terminator. I run extended tip NGK -9 plugs. Should I run a hotter plug and why
Thanks in advance

I run -8. Don't have a reason other than it's what I've always run. Bought my Terminator system in 2004.

IMO 9's are about perfect plug with alky. Ran them with blowers , injection and hell even with 95% nitro, 8 little hotter and 10s lil colder plug and all 3 work I have always ran 9s and now having hard time finding some.

588" with a Terminator - I have been running the NGK-9 for about 20 years. I switched to the extended tip a few years ago and have been happy so far.

What’s the model number on the -9 extended tip (NGK-xxxx)?

I ran -9's on my 16.5:1 setup before, profiler 12* heads....10's seemed too cold. New stuff I'm at 17.72:1 and I'm running 10's. Could probably still run 9's and be ok.

I still run 8's in mine. What's the advantage to running a cooler plug? I've had from 11's to 8's and honestly don't see a difference.
But also not sure what to look for I guess.

I have conventional heads and i run -8s, both on motor and when i spray. My buddies that have 12 degree heads use an extended tip 9
