they haven't been made in the USA for a very long time. Most every AC Delco part I buy is labelled as made in Canada or Mexico

The Trump tariffs taxed inputs, like for example lesser expensive German metals Richmond and Motive uses to manufacture ring & pinions.

That's why they're produced in Italy now, or were. To get around the Trump tariffs.

The only tarrifs that'll make America great again are tariffs on foriegn manufactured outputs like everything produced in china and sold at Walmart, anything produced offshore anywhere.

Trump tariffs were on materials American companies use to produce products - inputs. Trump tariffs cost American jobs.

Tariffs to make America (Main St USA) great again will never happen, all the manufacturing would flood back to America, Wall St would implode.

Harley Davidson moved their operations to get around the Trump tariffs as well.

Trump tarriffs hurt American jobs, that's why I've never been all in with Trump. But now with OBiden I'm all in with Trump.

We are in a bad position first off our Government is corrupt and out of control especially on the spending. What is the answer? No so easy. If we had an Honest Government the solution would be simple.
A Point of Purchase tax and ELIMINATE INCOME TAX. Why? Well because the income tax punishes American workers for making stuff here. There is about 50% tax built into everything made in America. There is NO TAX on most stuff that comes into America and even on those things that have the Tariff it is not as much as the income and business taxes. So it is still cheaper to import items even with the Tariff.

One other problem with our current tax system is that the ILLEGAL ALIENS, topless dancers, drug dealers and many others are getting paid straight cash and not paying any taxes.

A point of sale tax and eliminating income tax would mean that it does not matter if you make your money selling drugs or what ever when you buy anything you pay taxes and no loop holes for the rich.

Sounds good Right?

Well the problem is we have a Corrupt Government that is spending money out of control and it would just be another way for them to scam more money out of us.

Nobody minds paying taxes to support our Country but we are all sick of being taxed to death so they can send billions to Countries who want to kill us. The reason they do that is for kickbacks. Like Hunter Biden getting a multi million dollar job in Ukraine with an energy company with no experience. (Minus 10% for Big Guy)

If there was a point of sale tax then things made in China would pay same tax rate as things made here. On a head to head, dollar to dollar America can compete with anyone in the World. As it is right now in just a few short years China will own most of America and control most of the World.
And Trump Tariffs were bringing American jobs back and helping our Economy. Still the right way to do it is to fix our broken tax system.

WE CAN NOT COMPETE ON A GLOBAL MARKET IF WE ARE HANDICAPPING OURSELVES WITH TAXES.

Weird, most are made in China. You must be special.

I purchased a case of Wix 51061 filters from Rock Auto in March 2021 and the filters are dated 7-27-2020 and have made in USA tags on the filter housing. Wonder if that model is China made now?

I purchased a case of MO-339 Factory Mopar Filters last year, and these are marked made in USA on the filter housing. Well constructed inside but don't know the micron rating.

Factory Filters I get for Lexus/ Toyota have been made in Thailand for as long as I can remember.These are cartridge type.

American oil, Chinese filters and Chinese cranks and rods. Championship parts for a LOT of racers. Should all be American made but a foundry in the USA is difficulkt to even get open because of EPA regulations and maintaining the facilities are expensive with so much Government overwatch.
It is like trailer radials. I can't find American made trailer radials for the Trailer Toads we buy, why? Surely we have the skills right? Again, too much EPA regulation.

Too bad, Trump was starting to get Americans to at least consider building things in the USA but that doesn't fit will with Progressives GLOBAL BUSINESS PLAN.

I never liked the micron rating of the Wix racing filter. You trade off filtering for more flow.

My engine builder and I did some research and settled on the Baldwin B-279. I buy them by the case, the last few I have from the last order are all marked Made In the USA.

BTW, Baldwin is who makes the Moroso filters.
