Undertaker IIOxygenated Fuel
Building a new engine and will likely be running it on race gas. Have only ever ran alcohol in my stuff. I see fuel factory offers several of their fuels with added oxygen. I'm guessing there must be some pro's and cons to running it? I'm assuming oxygenated has potential to be more consistent? Thoughts please?

TD3550Ran Q16 for years on the 598 and 632. It's a very clean running fuel. Never a problem. As with everything else, it had gone up. I know several that run it. Never have i heard one complaint. Most like us run the 5120 metering blocks from BLP and have the feed tube channels enlarged. Minor changes also with the high bleed. In the beginning several complained it was lean. The mods will put in the correct direction.
Was running the 1450's and then updated to the PS SV1 1650. Smooth.

David GerardMy only complaint with Q16 (outside of the price) is the SMELL of the gas!
Filling the tank inside the trailer on a hot day is STRONG !

CURTIS REEDJust to tag along on this thread. I've never run gas before. Has anyone run VP X-14? I have a couple cans of it headed my way. Supposed to be less sensitive to heat and used for more consistency in bracket racing.

HR3377WE run Renegade K13 in my dads S-10 406cid at 2700 lbs and go 6.1X to 6.2x it repeats like alky has set for a month w/o draining the fuel or carb and no problems and its worth about a tenth in the 1/4, and it does not smell bad out the exhaust but raw fuel different story

Al AlguireI have run Q16 since 2009 and never had an issue. but I live in the desert. I sold a car to a guy in the midwest and told him not to let the fuel sit in the engine and tank. He didn't listen and ended up with a lot of corrosion in the cylinders. He now will empty the tank and fire the car up on pump gas if it is going to sit for extended periods.
We also have been running C45 for a few years on the heads uo car. Its Q on steroiods. Q has a VERY wide tuning window. Almost hard to hurt part with it. C45 on the other hand has a very narrow tuning window and it will hurt parts if it gets to fat.

I have ran Q16 for many years now. As Al said, it's a very forgiving fuel with a wide tuning range, also very consistent running fuel.
At one time I had my bbc at BES for upgrades. Was running a Dale Cubic 2.4" blade billet dominator with tuneups for Q16 and C45 which entailed jet, emulsion and air bleed changes. On the dyno C45 was only worth 9hp over Q16. Put the tuneup back to Q16 as hurting the engine wasn't worth it for only 9hp.
