Are there any examples of AFR sbc 23 degree cylinder heads going faster 3200 lbs n/a?

This Brodix 23 degree, Bullet cams combo is the fastest MPH I've seen n/a 3200 lbs.

It's nothing more than a viral internet rumor, AFR 23 degree cylinder heads make more power than their counterparts Brodix, out of the box - Make believe.

Fact.

It's a provable performance topic, fundamental to drag racing using out of the box small block Chevrolet 23 degree cylinder heads.

There has been more 3000 lb plus 23 degree sbc combo's go down down drag strips, than any other combo. It's the most plentiful combo ever.

Fundamental drag racing topic, off the shelf, over the counter, out of the box 23 degree sbc cylinder heads.

I can tell you mine is making way more power and it is AFR 235 (23 degree heads)with light hand touch up / port match, Enderle hat injection 1775 Lbs and runs 4.92 @139 MPM in Texas with 28* timing. Even in really bad air like 3500 DA I am still at 5.02. If I remember right ran a 5.09 at 7550 DA. I think a 6.41 @ 111 and you are probably close to sea level is not that impressive to me.
And mine is not set on kill I like to keep my stuff fairly conservative. Has a 4.10 rear gear, 1.80 low gear, 6400 stall and 32 inch tall tire.
I mean it is a good motor Crower cranks, Crower rods, Crower shaft rockers, Diamond pistons and I think I am around 14 to 1 on the compression. Like I say I like to keep it relatively conservative. I do run Bullet cams and I like them but I told them when I bought the cam I wanted fairly conservative and relatively easy on valve train.
My motor made 760 Hp on a honest dyno.
I bet you are not any where near there. At 1775 Lbs I am way lighter than you but I bet if you ran the numbers yours comes up short big time.

The debate isn't about what you run at x amount of weight vs 3200 lbs.

It's about no can outrun this speed on the planet 3000 lbs plus, with out of box AFR cylinder heads.

There's more 3000 lb plus cars going down drag strips than any other combo.

So there's a bunch of examples to choose from.

Brodix has the fastest sbc 23 degree out of the box cylinder head currently.

I'm not sure why the rumor persists that says AFR heads make more power out of the box than Brodix, when there's no/zero examples in existence.

Long rod ratio so it'll have symmetrical lobes, shorter duration and tighter lobe separation.

Unless you're building a Super Pro bracket racing specific lightweight dragster with a long rod BBC , tall deck. Smile

It's a tall deck 454 sbc.

Was this a one time deal like your 5.90 run ? I'm not sure what mph should be on a mid 10 second car. It's been a long time since I was in that speed range.

This is dial in bracket racing you can put as slow of a number on there as you want. If you think it is fast put your number on it and run it.

If you are happy and impressed with that performance that is all that matters. It is your car and you build it to make you happy. Going to take a lot more than that to impress me though.

I've been faster with a BLP 4500 Dominator carb.

It's been forever since anyone else has been in this MPH range at 6.40. Forever like as in never, 23 sbc 3200 lbs.

Everyone said it had nitrous on it when it dipped in the 5's off the trailer new combo I threw together engine, transmission, ring and pinion.

I about fell out of my chair laughing.

So much for that idea eh?

Brodix is fastest, where this idea comes from AFR makes more power beats me.

Must come from some snake oil salesman expert like Dr. Farci LoL.

Hate the Truth all you want, it won't change it.

It's like the BS story being sold $$ on the Bills player saying he suffered blunt force trauma.

You could hit the guy in the chest with a sledge hammer. With the sternum-chest plate on Douglas shoulder pads the NFL uses, he wouldn't have a scratch.

That dude had a pre-existing ....... induced condition, why he fell out.

So much BS is sold $$.

My junk at Mason Dixon runs high 6.40's @ 104-105mph. This is with a 355ci, Brodix Track 1 heads and a PBM 555 lift roller cam. Nothing special or fast.

104-105 mph is par for the course, 6.40 3000 plus lbs 23 sbc.

My Nova the rear quarters were cut like yours when I got it. You need 14 x 32's sticking out and shackles to make that look right, like mine had.

That's a nice car looks like it works good too, I like the old school wheels on it. You should put some rear quarters on it. Or sell it to me, I got a BBC here, will go good in it.

That thing would clean up nice, rear quarters, paint and triple chrome plated steel bumpers.

My rear wheel opening looked exactly like yours when I got it almost 40 years ago.

That was done back in the 70's or 80's for 14 x 32 tires and shackles, I'd guess. Same as mine.

I like it, nice car. Mine had old school slotted wheels on the front as well. Skinny's with Moroso drag special tires.

We're talking out of JEGS magazine 23 degree conventional sbc cylinder heads at 3000 plus lbs.

AFR , Brodix, Unported All Pro conventional non raised runner, or any other out of the box un-ported.

I've been looking for something faster than Brodix out of the box, since 2017.
