How low of a pressure can I run safely in 26" MT fronts with 967lbs on the front? Anyone with any experience in lightweight cars dropping pressure enough to change reactions?

I have been from 25# to 45#. For me 2350# car leaving on trans brake. 10# in pressure is about 7 to 8 thou in react. ep- hope this helps

Thanks EP. Wasn't sure how low I could safely go. I will drop down to 25lbs this weekend and see where I'm at. I was -.005, -.014, -.012 and I made an rpm change instead of fronts. Of course it was in my head and I was .065 2nd round. LOL

I don't have any numbers, but I'd bet a pressure change in the slicks would be equally or more impactful. I only use RPM to adjust R/T. Tony Leonard

Tony, I used to make adjustments to my slicks when I ran Hoosier. They didn't care about a half pound or more one way or another. I'm on MT now and they seem to be more finicky about pressure although they are stupid good for consistency. I just haven't been able to test with them enough to know what I can get away with or how much a difference what pressure makes. All but 2 passes have been at races. .

I have ran under 20 up front on my altered with no problems but I do not recommend it. Use RPM if you can. 25 PSI should be no problem as light as your front is. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/ "Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. I see little to no difference in rear pressure. But will see some with front psi. ep
