First, let me thanks Bud McNasby and Jason Lawrence - if you see they are offering their racer training in your area - it will be the best money spent on your program. Even if you think you know it all - they will surely make you think differently and help your program. Beyond the schooling, they are a great asset to have in your corner for bouncing ideas off of.

The reason I decided to post this is there is really very little info out there for understanding driveshaft sensors and tuning suspensions.

My car developed spin a few feet out from the hit, as seen in the graphs below. The spin was consistent but varied in magnitude. Over the last two outings I was able to completely eliminate it.

Video example, not exact run, but it did it exact same spot nearly every run to go with the above graph you can see the tire slip.

Under car videos helped eliminate possible causes and see what was happening. Can't have enough videos. Amazon has a dragon touch 4k go pro junk version for 44 dollars! Comes with two batteries, all the accessories, etc. Perfect for abuse and preserving the 400+ dollar good GoPro. After using it; it's actually nicer than the GoPro.

With some front and rear shock tuning the car dead hooked every run. Here are 4 driveshaft curves overlayed, with full timing at the launch.

And the video:

Hopefully, that helps some of you if you are trying to tune your suspension.

Data logs from racepak or equiv, videos from as many angles, and good notes to keep track of changes.

Seems like the anti squat is super high and a lot of separation on the initial hit with it separating more. Looks like a drag radial tire car vs a big tire car.
Not saying it doesn't work I would have thought going the other way would have been better. Glad to see you got it going in the right direct and it is working for you.

Agree with that you are saying. The anti squat and being setup like that was to combat the wheelies the car airways wants to do. When I say wheelies I mean 330ft straight up and down... LoL.

Still want to get the front down some more with front tuning. Want it down before the 60ft. Right now it's breaking the beams at about half car.

Ideally no wheelie at all. But everything is shifted back in that car.. Motor, driver, etc. I basically sit 6” infront of the rear wheel.

I moved as much as possible, accumulator, kr compressor, etc to the nose. Even left the stereo in.

Very interesting and thanks for sharing! The way it started off looks like the way the radial guys set them up with the separation.

If it is a 4 link car you should be able to keep the nose where it only raises 6-8" with no wheelie bar. I go 1.10 60ft with no wheelie bar on my roadster and it is all in 4 link and shock settings. You have to understand the concept of where you want to "pick the car up" and how much weight the instant center provides. We are about consistancy, Stockers and Super stockers are not doing what we are and they have a totally differnt set up. When you look at the guys that are trying to get the fastest time that is also a whole different ball game in how they approach it. Would be more than happy to provide you more insight on those thoughts and what it means, also what a suspension is there for.
