For a house hurricane Gen set I had a contractor type 13hp B&S unit for over a decade. 6200 run watts. Costco had a 7500 run watt tri fuel, electric start Gen set for $600 last month. It’s just a notch above a contractor grade, but will hopefully do well if the power is out for weeks after a hurricane. Hard to justify a $$$ Gen set with very infrequent use.

Not wrong, it’s dead on. And way to show class. All the money you say you have can’t buy you class (or a win light Big Grin). We’ve already established that you talk a lot on here and have nothing to say to my face when I tell you the $40k six fiddy in the dragster is a turd. So if anyone is a p_ssy it would be you. You will never say these things to my face, but I’m happy to say everything I say here to your face. You’re all talk on the internet but you walk away with your tail between your legs in person after getting told your car is slow Big Grin

Enjoy your Chinese made Honda generator and your kids Korean made Kia shyt box. Keep us posted when you paint the Fireturd to match and don’t forget the Kia logo. Way to support American companies. Your boy McAmis would be real proud of you Big Grin

183N, you probably should not say anything about Kia the official car of the LGBTQ people. Those who drive them would get offended.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

I have two generators I take to the track. A small 1200/1500 watt champion which is my primary. That has run reliably for almost 13 years now...not an inverter, but about the same noise as one, pretty quiet for what it is...I run all the lights, computer, battery charger, and weather station with it. It can even run the air compressor, but it struggles with it. I also have my Predator 8750 generator as my backup, that will easily run my stuff, my buddy next to me stuff, and still have power to spare. I actually use it as a backup generator for my house when I have an extended power outage....Had it since early 2015 and it's never failed to start or power even my well pump, which is 220v, and will cause the lights to flicker when it starts.....

I have no complaints of either one, both have been well worth the money spent. On a side note, my racing buddy that I work with, his Honda failed, and my other racing buddy had his onan fail.....both were nearly brand new......
