A few things you need to know here.
1. He does not want it working, he wants to have something to complain about.
2. You can argue with an idiot all day long and at the end of the day he is still stupid. No amount of you arguing with him will make him any smarter. Not going to happen.
3. Sometimes it is better to walk away. Arguing with him is like wrestling with a pig in the mud. Sooner or later you are going to have to realize he likes it. He is not a good racer but he is good at arguing so I guess you do what you do best.
4. You may want to learn from FTI and some others and just say. "Our products are not designed for Ed, they are designed for winners" Do you really want your products on first round runner up anyway?

Do not worry about anything he says about you or anyone else. We all know the truth.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Jeff,

Are you planning on running the double race at Ennis in April? Big money race on Monday too. Looks like fun, can’t wait. Hope to see you there in your new car. We might even get ole Pivot to show up if he’ll quit selling those darn sprinklers.

I'm counting on it. The reason why I bought a carb from John was due to his reputation and my first hand experience trying one of his 1250s on my dragster, back to backed it against my Pro System's 1250 and it was .003 quicker and < .25 faster.

i always ran a Holly 704 regulator due to its larger inlet and outlet ports than all the others when running an electric pump. That was many years ago and would never go back to electric again.

Top I run NOS on my car with the belt drive at 13psi most of the run. Just understand how fuel delivery and the trigonometry behind understanding flow and pressure; this provides a perfect tuneup.

Cashflow I havnt Super Comp raced since the early-mid 90's although I still have my stop. Since I have changed cars, fuel and no runs on it yet I would be a Daffy Duck amongst a bunch of Elmer Fudds. I have been going over everything on this new to me ride and waiting on gears now. It's probably a dumb move as my old car was very predictable. But decided I wanted to try a suspended ride. Never satisfied the racer way. HaHa

I think it was a smart move personally. You should at least run Monday’s bracket race. With your luck you’ll probably win it.

Statistical significance of .003 is kind interesting. Must have been the carb.
