| It is hard to say I have used several different brands of stainless braided rubber hose. Some lasted for many years with no problems others were crumbling in one year. I THINK the Russel hose was good. When ever I see any signs of problem I replace it all. I use Aeroquip PTFE hose for transmission lines. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/"Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge. Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue. 4X NE2 CHAMPION. 2020 TDRA NE2 Champion |

| I have had some of the rubber hoses on various cars for decades on akky and no issues. I have recently started using ptfe for just about everything. It seems to be so much more forgiving and faster for assembly. Easy to get right every time. I'm sold on it now. I think you need ptfe for brake lines, but not diy because of the pressure level required.

| Teflon for the win. However lots of rubber being used out there. If you have a rubber hose off for some reason and you find that it is now stiff and molded into a shape you may want to consider a replacement.
