Some have what they think is the best, gets hung up on one brand of tire, has the best tool for the job (pipe rack), preaches 60' consistency with his program & is the biggest Blow Hard Keyboard Racer on DRR...Yada...Yada...Yada.
Here's his 60's courtesy of NHRA.com in order of the runs in S/C.

I am probably talking out of my a**, but doesn't the throttle stop timer influence even the 60 foot times in S/C? Take care. Tom Worthington
Yes it does.
No, it doesn’t. Not in Pigleys case.
Which by the way, they were in the trailer first rd SC, first rd SST last week at Numidia. “Can’t get out of first round at your home track, ‘what happen’ (sic)”. LOL impressive performance! Those consistent 60a really delivered the round wins.
Then this past Friday, double entered at the Harrington, both entries out first round, lost the buyback. As Pigley would say “I love a happy ending.”
Great job!

Amen to that! I just can't imagine. It sure would help keep costs down. I am guessing you must pile up those passes very quickly, or else just the amount of time would break down those tires. I think I might be able to get THREE seasons out of a set of tires that worked after 336 passes.

Bear in mind, I never b*yback.

Take care. Tom Worthington
Tom, that plus short burnouts, only running 5.80-5.90 with this little engine and weighing less than 2000lbs all adds to it.
