Da ShoeIS dragy legal during eliminations?
Does it actually display your current ET while making a pass? Or is it all after the run is completed?

No expert on these deals but why couldn't you? Racing quarter mile and getting your ET in the 1/8 or 1000' would be helpful! No idea what the lag time is but I'd say you would have time to see your 1/8 numbers well before the finish line.
Either way any down track live time data is not legal other than your tach...

1320racerThis^^^ and don’t discount the info learned while using it in time shots.

Toad1Slew rate control is where ETs can be better controlled and programmable to rate of acceleration.
Does it work? No idea, you know at $100,000 to win about every weekend there are some people being tempted to try it. No tech makes it easier to try I would guess.

1320racer“Tempted”? You can be sure some people are riding the dots no reason not, there is no down side only up.

EmanYou might not be able to stare at it running 1/8th but surely the technology is there to pre-set it for a spot on the track and a little LED light up either green or red when you hit the spot.

vetmanEman seen that done years ago with a throttle stop timer and a light people use it to spot drop
The difference between ignorance and stupidity. Ignorance is lack of knowledge. Stupidity is the inability to learn. Don't be stupid

Bruce WilliamsWorks ok for testing grandsons jr dragster in the street/parking lot.
Accurate enough to tell if a change to engine/clutch netted a gain or loss in the 60'.

Grudge racers like to buy all the cars rejected by us. Pro Stock/Pro Mod cars used to go to top sportsman, then those went to super gas and bracket, then if they scrape the wall or body work gets tired grudge/no prep racers buy them, and run them until they wad them so bad that they have to throw them in the junk pile.

FootlooseThat car body is now loaned out to Hustling Horse power. I don't do pictures but it is on you tube. The front wheel base is out almost a foot more. If you know how to down load a picture as it sits now, it really is unique and flat works.

Bruce WilliamsAs far as using it in your race car I tried using it on a time trial.
First problem is that the dragy sees every slight move, forward or back.
You have to hit the reset on your cell phone once you are staged. Plus the touch screen does not work with driving gloves on.
Used it this afternoon with the grandson trying a new clutch setup in his Jr dragster. Worked great.
No pissed off neighbors either.
