CURTIS REEDcordless steering wheel adapter
I just saw this on Facebook. It's as the title says, cordless. It allows you to remove the steering wheel without any cords hooked to it and also turning the wheel without cords binding. I am describing for people who don't have Facebook. It's from Tick Performance.

Little ChiefWow, it just goes to show you there is always a better mousetrap in the waiting. At first glance this looks sweet, and as long as there are no continuity issues in the hub and the wheel.

moparacerIs that connector fastened to the shaft? Alignment of the splines and the connector might be an issue going back on if it isn't. I could see me at night in the staging lanes in the dark fumbling around with that. With me, the less I have to fumble with in the car getting ready the better.
If the connector was fastened to the shaft in some way I think it might be better.

From the video when he has the wheel off you can see that connector is free to rotate so alignment wouldn’t be a problem.

moparacerI was thinking since it wasn't then you would have to start the wheel on the splines then make sure the connector was aligned when you are pushing it on.
It might not be a big deal but I always seem to make it a big deal at the worst times lol.
