Anyone running M/T 3069W slick. Looking at them for next set for car and looking for feed back. I know nobody running on fed but figure any feedback better than zero.

I tried five different tires on my FED and the 3069W with tubes was best combination. The guy who bought the car from me is a Hoosier guy and he tried a bunch of tires and eventually went back to the 3069W.

For FED the 3069W is the best tire I have used.

With that said every FED is different, they are hard tails so chassis flex and weight balance is what makes them work or not work. So that tire may not work same on your car as it did on mine.

We both know everything different with fed, Main reason stated so in OP. Figure if works on nothing good indicator not work on fed either, If worked on door cars, softtail dragsters and any comment not work on hardtail indicator probably bnot work on fed.

Since you tried and like on fd good indicator and maybe eliminate buying 5 sets. I am working with M-T 3074s now and not enougfh hits to say good bad indifferent. They go right ok.LOL Doubt they issue but have been here while and right side did get trrans fluid soaked from over filled pan leaking, Cleaned hell out of them. Not ruling them out as issue, but not dropping 800 to 1000 on new set yet either. If swap tires on car and goes left then will know tire issue. Looking into options.

Bill that use to be on site and ran FEDS for 40 plus years loved M&H tire he rand last year or 2 or when last here.

Will check with Mr. Parks on what they are running since GY discontinued the model they loved.

I made a handful of runs on the 3069w with tubes on my hard tail dragster going 7.40s 178. The tires was extremely smooth just didn't like a cross wind after the 1/8th

All of my runs with that car was 1/8 mile. Here in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana all bracket racing is 1/8 mile. For it not liking crosswind it is a rather tall tire for its width. A wider rim will help some.

Wideopen, before you start changing tires which gets expensive quick get some runs on the 14x32 tires and see how well they work. At least you will then have some data to know if the new tires are better or worse.

You can swap tires between left and right to see if it makes a difference but if you have measured the roll out I doubt that is your problem. I already told you why it is going to the right, fix that. Still it is cheap to swap them and try, always try the cheapest easiest thing first before you start throwing a lot of time, money and work at a problem. Did not know right tire got soaked in transmission fluid or what if anything that does to the tire.

I did not try M&H tires all of my tires were MT and Hoosiers.

On all of my altereds the 3074 was best tire of all of them. For any bracket / index Altered I would recommend the 3074 or 3074S.

FED is not so easy.

On my FED the 3069W was best. Thing is every FED is different and that tire may or may not work on yours. I hope you do not have to go through 5 sets of tires to find ones that work.

Like I said just getting input and will be swapping tires and few other things on car.
As for fixing what is wrong, Not sure what ylou mean.
I know flex was in question, has very little in any direction. Rearend checked more ways than can count. Wieght while could be issue is well over what Frank said need to be driveable and with it responding to input I do not see that being issue, Still maybe be so adding two more gallons to tank and 10 on nose and I eamn on nose, Tires I am going to swap and see if goes left. I have tightened steering shaft slop and added 1.8 moire to toe. Even made new set of arms for spindle with hole mived .750 aweay so as to slow steering some in case. Now if can buy a under 90* 90% humidity Friday T-N-T night can see what happens. If goes straight start removing weight see if issue. Most of rest will stay

As for tire soaked in trans fluid .May be overly statged, It had pretty good area sitting on floor and was pretty wet when found.Hoping few hard burnouts take care of but also do not know what it will do to tire. So looking at options in case of.

So go and throw some bars in and weld on chassis until it fixes something not broken or not shown any sign of broken. Based on experiance with one FED. Niot to mention never seen car uch less in depth look ar cgasssis sauid to have too much flex even when almost zero movement with my ass bounding oin it while susppended on 4 stands.

Ending that here and Pm sent as to what is problem.
