Has anybody tried the Renegade upper cylinder lube? How does it compare to Klotz?

Also, what scents do you guys prefer for alky?

We've used Uplon and no issues.

Looks like you're the guinea pig on the Renegade stuff. Let us know how it works out. Cool

I run Renegade methanol but see no good reason to change from adding Uplon. I believe it does a great job of staying around after the alcohol evaporates off parts.

Can’t help on the lubes, we’ve run several types, VP, power plus, and currently run whatever comes premixed from interstate racing fuels. Have seen no difference on any of them.

As far as fragrance, grape, bubblegum and cherry are good. The drum we’re using now has root beer and haven’t been able to smell it at all so I’d stay away from that one. The leaner your idle mixture is the less you’ll smell the fragrance.

Been using Klotz for years, excellent product and no reason to use anything else. I also use it straight to pickle my fuel system if the car will be down for a long period of time, more than 30 days. Short periods, less than 30 days, I do not drain it and never had any issues while using Klotz

I agree with Big Steve.

Based on my using of Klotz Uplon since 2007 I don’t believe there is a better lube that works with any fuel than Uplon.

I personally find fragranced fuel obnoxious. Uplon has none of this. Last week I was parked close to a racer I know that was using something in his fuel that just reeked imo. When I asked what it was he said he adds “baby powder” to his fuel because he likes the way it smells.

JMO a good reason to NOT run any scent is people think its alright to breathe the fumes because they smell good but in fact those fumes are still toxic....
