Consider mounting a trap door on the hood above the tank fill cap if possible. I remove a 3rd gen FG cowl hood every run (by myself) to fuel. I don’t mind as it allows me a chance to see everything under the hood between rds. I’m considering racing with this hood off in the near future.

Markemark , I thought of the trap door as well, I need to take the hood as well to take off oil fill and the vacuum line off to let the methanol evaporate, thank you sir

My scoop has two dzus tabs mounted to firewall at top of firewall for the back. For the front we replaced the top two water pump bolts with longer bolts and made a bracket that has chrome moly uprights with tabs welded to the top of them. Cross bar between the two. May be able to post a pic later.

My buddy’s tube chassis Camaro has two really simple brackets mounted on firewall and front is 3/8” tubes running up from front of cylinder heads with a cross bar connecting them with dzuz tabs on ends
