They all work. Which is best comes down to personal preference. I use a Necksgen because it's lower in the back. If you could try them on and sit in your car it is a big help in choosing.

I have the Hans. The only thing i don't like about is at times the upper part hooks the front bar. I will do the Necksgen next time when the certs are up. I just have a long torso.

I tried one that simply would not work. You had to put helmet and Hans on before you got in car. It was a nice well built piece but hard to get off and on. I am going to order he Nexgen as it should work.

I've used the Simpson hybrid sport and necksgen in my dragster. Both were comfortable but I like the way the necksgen clips to the helmet better.

is the rule, you have to have a helmet skirt or headsock if you run the hans type?

I had to work on the process of getting the HANS Device on, first while I was in the car then later before getting into the car. I ended up with putting the device over my shoulders before getting into the car, sliding the shoulder harness over the unit then attaching the device on to my helmet. After a little practice it really became very easy.

I have never been comfortable sitting in the car for a lengthy amount of time with my helmet on so perfecting the process was important, especially being able to get it attached quickly on a very hot day. The first time I used it then tried to get the device off I really struggled, the girl at the time slip booth probably thought that I was having an epileptic seizure. It just take a little practice and you can complete the process very quickly.

There is no way I would ever drive a car again without a HANS Device, I can give you 436,000 reasons why, all of them were dollars.

A head & neck restraint device can be used with, or without, a neck collar; when a neck collar is not used, an SFI 3.3 head sock or SFI Spec 3.3 skirted helmet is required. This would also apply to all Top Dragsters and any Advanced ET vehicle running 7.49 and quicker.

Same issue i had, they thought i was going into a seizure. I had a "BAD leg cramp. A day i really want to forget.

Same issue, they thought i was in a seizure. Had a leg cramp from the thigh to the ankle. A day i want to forget.

Necksgen here and a Simpson head sock. The headsock helps keep your helmet from getting so nasty.

I agree with this. You can put your thumb through the clip, grip the hook up point on the helmet with your fingers and it will guide the clip into the post hole where it hooks.

My routine is to get in the car, hook up my lap belts to the camlock including my arm restraint rings. Put the Necksgen over my shoulders followed by my shoulder straps hooking them to the camlock. Then I put my helmet on and hook up the necksgen clips to it. Glasses, gloves, arm restraints onto my forearms and I'm ready to go. The only difference in time is putting the Necksgen on my shoulders and hooking it's straps. Possibly 10 seconds more than a neck collar.
