Great idea! How precise is your scale? I have seen some small digital postage scales that are inexpensive, have a usable range of 20 pounds, and measure down to 1/10th of an ounce, (I forget what fraction of a gram on the metric setting). I may need to get one now. Thanks! Dan "Jim" Moore Much too young to feel this damn old!!

I just bought a small digital scale that goes to the hundredth on grams. I had a couple of digital scales for kitchen and postage but they didn't go low enough. This one will fold and fit in your pocket and comes with a calibration weight.

So on the APD floats I invert the bowl, measure the inside top to the float parting line. .825" to .850" on the primary, .800" to .825" on the secondary, 5.5 psi fuel pressure. Higher fuel pressure will raise the level, more bubbles/aeration in the bowl. Other floats can be different as the parting line is not always centered. I used to just set them level turned upside down never a problem, now they are what KB sets them at for the last 10yrs or so.
