Does anybody make sliding seat mounts to accomodate me and my tall kid and are they legal. I think I can permanently remount the fiberglass seat to work for both of us if I use a removable steering wheel, but a slider would make things easier. The car is a 70 Nova.

The tricky part is the seat back brace. Should be able to fabricate a sliding brace with a pin? Could consider a molded insert? "Despite the high cost of living, it remains popular." Dave Cook N375

Id avoid sliding brackets and build two piece brackets with multiple bolt holes. As for the seat brace I'd buy or build something like this. https://www.warfighterfabricat...able-seat-back-brace Denis LeBlanc

Maybe you could use a regular adjustable mount and add extensions on it so you could pin it in place for each person. That would negate it being able to move in the event of an accident. The seat brace could also be pinned and I would use quick release detent pins for both. JMO

I’d go adjustable pedals and steering column. Ray ray at Nexgen even built a set on an electric push button

I currently have 2 piece brackets with multiple holes and I think it'll work, but a slider would be nice. I thouht that they probably aren't legal but wortrh an ask just in case. That adjustable brace is a great idea, thanks for sharing. his seat postion has the back against the bar, so I'll just have to install the old one if/when I drive. When we built this car in 1980, we drilled 2 5/16 holes through the bar and a couple years ago I had it certified. I was expecting the inspector to question that, but he didn't.

For a dragster, right? A little tougher in a door car I would think.

I have an adjustable steering column on my door car. Made by Mcamis. Mcamis also makes adjustable pedals for a door car. However. I have seen people on door cars make it as easy as cutting half the pedal off and having two pedal options changed by just pulled a pin and replacing with the other (if that makes any sense at all without seeing)

That’s cool. I’ve not seen anyone do those I a door car. I shouldn’t be surprised though, there are some very inventive people out there.
