To get the correct answer your looking for you need to ask the right questions. The answers youre getting remind me of "brick" in the movie Anchorman. Ron Burgandy would say something or ask him a question and brick shouts "i love lamp!". Shocks! Change your bars! Most of these people are Brick....

You started your trouble shooting process somewhere down the checklist go back to the beginning. Im not gonna spell it out because frankly i want the rest of the damn country to stay clueless and keep thinking this is some sort of a black magic.

Pivotdoc, I looked up my old settings on my last Cameron car in my scale book.

It was 6 inches up at 55 1/2 inches out with 31 percent rise with the ride height at 3 3/4 inches at the midplate.

Hole locations on front bar should be 4 down on front hole and top hole on rear end housing.

Bottom hole is 7 down on front and bottom hole on rear housing.

Front is 554 lbs ... LF 278 lbs 14.8%
RF 276 lbs 14.7%

Rear is 1326 lbs .... LR 641 lbs 34.1%
RR 684 lbs 36.4%

29.5% weight on front and 70.5 % on back.

Cam Height 19 inches.

Disconnect anti sway bar and put one 1 flat preload in lower right four link bar.

Connect anti sway bar and put one full turn of load on right hand side.

I ran hoosiers and Mickeys with no problems with either and Afco shocks behind rearend.

Hope that helps.
Hmm interesting. My ride height is maybe a full inch higher than that. Bottom bar needs to go down one hole, top bar spot on. Preload probably needs to be top right bar since bottom bars are X'd. Antiroll not sure of yet, McAmis videos talk about neutral but I've always ran some. Checked pinion angle again and it's not as much down as I thought maybe .5*.

Sorry you are correct.Top bar for preload not bottom.. Had a brain !@#$.

My pinion angle was 1 degree down on that car..

One thing about it, you can't blame me on this deal. I gave him my Jerry Bickel book to look at. You will never see me recommending anything to do with the 3 C's. Chassis, Converters and Camshafts. I've learned a little along the way, probably just enough to get myself in trouble. Big Grin

rusty, it should come as no surprise as to my opinion of many of the daily posters here which you are not, as to their knowledge and 1st hand experience when the conversation is setting up a chassis/suspension.

Rusty, you are one of my favorites for sure and you have a vast amount of knowledge and experience that you share with out downing or bashing others and or products. I will point out Rusty pointed toward tires and shock earlier in this thread. Thanks for the help you have given me and others over the years, your good at what you do sir. This man helped tune the suspension on Seabass's car to divisional championships and top 10 finishes for overall championships in T/D. He earns respect without insulting people on a regular basis.

Boucher, seriously keeps me with a smile on my face and may rub some the wrong way...all good with me as I think he adds genuine humor to his posts and makes you think outside the box...I like it...even with mostly minimal insults most of the time...I mean the guy has a middle finger up on every post.

ED on the other hand, as most can see we don't really like each other much and spar like brothers/enemy's with regularity. I have been told by many, even his close friends that we would like each other in person and get along...we shall see as we have not met in person...he can still blow me if he promises not to bite it.

Pivot...keep beating on Cash and team up and come out to the fling in Vegas, FIRST ROUND ON ME!

Just drag that dragster to Numidia and your problems go away.....

They use so much traction compound there it don't matter what tire is on it, what brand shock it has and who cares about the IC or any of that nonsense.... Dancing Cat
