For trans I used #6 PTFE Braided SS with black PVC coating. I won’t use rubber hose any longer and I’ll gladly pay extra for the outer black PVC coating. A local race shop made these up while I waited.

Thats what I use on my car. #6 is usually best, Some run #8 but your just carrying extra fluid in the lines as the orifice on the fittings/case is only as big as a #6 line will fit.
