This guy is a drag racer, he has a ton of videos, I have watched most of them, I even learned a few things about the humble power glide.

Here’s a $$$ door slammer glide.
Hey Bruce. Maybe it comes with skills but Richard never uses a feller gauge to check clutch pack clearance on any of his builds. I always did that on the reverse and a plunge dial indicator on the direct on my glide builds. On this video he was tapping on the stator tube. I thought that was a little odd too.

Check out some of the mods:
1- Stator mod to push the pump gear off the wall
2- poor mans pump oil to recirculate eng off
2- the vent recovery using dip stick is silly. Just get the overflow can higher and make in a drain back style and your done.

Never seen those holes either. Looked on Sonnax big shaft setup. No holes either. Maybe Hutch or Greg can chime in.Maybe some sort of bleed/cooling for the band????

Holes in the drum are to help get fluid out of the pack quicker.

I guess I’m still taken back how he never even tries to measure the clutch pack clearance even an easy one like a glide reverse with the slot for that. He just eye balls them.
I guess that’s the difference between a hobby transmission mechanic and a pro working to make cash.
