Generator is bolted to the tongue of the trailer. Fuel jugs have a 1" piece of angle on the floor and small D rings on the wall with tie down strap. Small D rings where I need them for securing things to the wall. Some HF hangers for air hose, extension cords and chairs. Piece of PVC for the jack handle and the jack stood up and strapped with rubber straps and D rings. Fans and battery charger held with bungees to D rings.

I can't believe eman doesn't use etrack! ![]() I'm gonna be honest: I have never really had to tie stuff down. I swear either I drive worse or the roads are getting much worse. The generator, which never has moved ever, now wants to make a beeline for the side of the car. Foxtrot Juliet Bravo

I have several D-rings on the walls that hold my tool cart, canopies, tables, and ramps. Nitrous bottles are in holders as well as my floor jack. Generator, quad, car, are all tied down on the floor with D - rings. I do plan to add more tie downs in the near future, likely keep using the small D - rings since they work and are cheap. ![]() I don’t like e track, I have airline track on the wall

Airline track? Like unistrut? I'm zooming on the picture but hard to see. What are you guys using to actually fasten whatever you are using to the wall? Find a stud and screw into that? Anyone using the threadserts? How about the d rings you are using on the floor? Just simple surface mount? I hate to get carried away with surface mount due to tripping hazards and if we move things around, they can catch on the bottom of a low slung car. Great stuff guys please keep it coming. What Ed said, also sometimes called A-track. Macs Custom Tie Downs has some neat stuff. I've never had any issues with the things they sell. Great service, not the cheapest but one of the best in my opinion. Good luck! Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right. Here I am.......

That stuff looks nicer and easier to attach than the e track. Foxtrot Juliet Bravo

My floor D ring are recessed into the floor. Each one has steel backing that is connected to the crossmembers with steel and welded in. I replaced the floor in my trailer so I could weld all of the backing steel in then put the floor in. My D rings on the walls are surface mounted and attached with self drilling hex head screws into the upright studs in the walls. My trailer was filled with E track on the floor and the walls when I bought it, they used it for shipping. I have a lot of that heavy steel E track but the only piece I used was a strip on the wall to hold my spare.

I've put several surface mount D-rings on the walls using 1" self-tapping bolts into a wall stud, and a ton of recessed D-rings in the floor. All of the floor ring bolts go through a backing plate of steel or thick aluminum under the wood floor, but I don't worry about tying into a crossmember. Tony Leonard
