markemark, don't want to steal the thread but tell me about your front struts. I have extremely worn out Lakewoods now. I like your wood block setup, simple and functional! Any problems towing with them moving and the car getting loose?
Back to the OP's post. So what you're saying is the strut rod is going right through the top strut mount? Is there no retainer for the upper spring cup or does the rod slide right through it too?

The rod slides right through, I spoke to Strange Engineering this morning and he said on these struts the rubber washer on the bottom and top of the mount are supposed to contain the rod. I just ordered new washers so we will see.

Street Struts from KYB 735001. My car using an 8.02 slr leaves wheels down and separates the rear at launch on a 126% AS. Don’t believe I need $500 DA fronts. Right now Summit ProShop has the 70/30 Lakewood on sale direct from the manufacture for $138 each and think it’s a good deal if it worked in the past for you. I think they’d work good on my car now.

This year I have over 6k towing miles with these wood blocks and work excellent for me. My trailer has a smooth floor and I tie side to side and from the top frame brace to under the axle housing. Rear shocks move 1/2" at most in the worst of Midwest roads.

$500 DA fronts would be cheap compared to the prices I've seen. I did see the 70/30 Lakewoods at a deal I was going to go back with the 90/10's and they are $500 for the pair. I see the KYP's are about $190 each, what ratio do you think you get out of the adjustments with them? I've got a little more SLR, 5.14 and 1.76 glide but only 355ci.
Pretty light looking straps. I tie straight front and back with 4 straps ratchets on the back. I see you put straps from the body to the rear. My tiedowns ar at the back of the ladder bars so they don't pull the body at the rear.

The Strange are nice but at $500 each I don't think I'm a player. I think I'm going to go with the 70/30 Lakewoods for the price it seems like a good deal.
