So few weeks back my reaction times went to hell. I am not bragging but normally I am teens to double 00s. I recall it because I was late in the round of a race and sun was on tree really bright and I went .080 and lost. I thought it was the sun because it was hard to even see the stage lights come on. Next day it was overcast and my first couple hits I was .040s ?? Adjusted air pressure the next could time runs (run box and no box so I had 4 time runs). Lights came down to high teens to 20s. Thru that day again I had some really bad ones but luckily I was holding a ton and or my opponents red lit. Managed to get to the finals to again pull a .050 light meanwhile feeling like I crushed it.

Proceed to go to 2 money races multiple days. Again go to the 4th round of one with .000 - .010 lights (time shot was a .049 - again feeling like I was .00x). Trying to just forget about it and drive the car. Get Sisko and pull a wonderful .050 light. Next day same story except 3rd round get him again and pull a .080 light, feeling like I was actually red!

Car last few times out was flying after some carb work and I changed the converter. usually its 5.72s and this weekend it was 5.64s air was better. Reaction times were .039, .043, and .038 - bought back in and took .020 out of box (I usually have 1.03X in bot and started out day with 1.022) - also dead late with no box. So I took 020 out and then I am .012 red? Again feeling like I was good on the tree.

Planned on buying a new trans solenoid. Checking all grounds, trans inside looks ok. Planning to put new transynd fluid in it and new filter. already changed buttons before this last week. zero change.

Looking for ideas and other places to look.... have points this weekend. I am first in super pro and tied for second in pro. If I change all this stuff and its still the same I am going to just start driving the dragster. See if the problem follows the driver lol.

Ski, you do any in car video? I have found the best way to tell what's going on is with video. I have felt good before and been late and replayed the video in slowmo and yea, I missed it. You get out past .020 or so and its clearly evident with video. When I miss it I am usually .20 or so. Any more and I am on the bump down. But you rts are way worse though could be an indication of a problem.

Also if you happen to have a full tree you can hook the car up to it if you wire a relay to the trans brake wire. I did this years ago. You can test the box and button that way and rule out everything between the drivers brain, and the solenoid. The only time I ever found a inconsistency was with the button one time.

I do have a full tree. Maybe you can explain in more detail what you did to test things using a relay.

I also did check the box to grid the way markemark outlined. It checks out.

I am like you if I miss it - its usually a 20 or so. And I know it. i am at times thinking I am red and get slip to see 50 or 80.

Just spoke to Rossler and he said the solenoids can get magnetized. Ordered a new one.

How old are the tires? Sidewalls could be dead.

Does it have Diaper? Could be dragging the beams.

It does have a diaper. And its very low. i will have to eyeball it and see if anything jumps out.

Tires are pretty new. Maybe 60runs. Usually get 150. 60fts are within thousands.

I had this issue with a diaper years ago. I was all of a sudden constantly .050 on the tree, figured it out when watching a video of the car leaving and it was holding the lights on.
