Well. Went to I29 Dragway in Glenwood, IA for the first 2 races of a 4 race WDRA series.

Saturday with the PBR's. S10 was not happy...
I dont have an image of the driveshaft graph, but just say it hooked and then spun for approx 30'-60' depending on the run. Keep in mind, I29 no longer has a regular bracket series, and track prep was not typical.
Somehow, lucked into the No Box/Mod Win. R5 I had the bye into final, and the left rr tire dead hooked and I nearly took out the tree. I was holding anywhere from 05 to 12 based on my guesses. I got one red light, and the others I had the tree.

Sunday - switch back to the 3074S and 6.12 @ 111 first time hit. Won Sunday No Box/Mod race also.

Front Shocks - AFCO BNC that have been revalved by Dave Connolly/Competitive Suspension.
Rear Shocks - JRI from Shane when he owned Competitive Suspension.

^^^^^^ Good post and link to your log book notes for reference. If you had video of the rear shocks at launch or shock travel sensor it could possibly help improve your radial results. I think (guessing) radials might work better with rear separation.

My car leaves wheels down, and using a rear shock travel sensor, moving the IC from 69% to 126% helped improve the 60’s consistency. I’m ordering 18245 (same size as 3074S) today, same as on car now with 200 runs. Thanks for making up my mind on radial.

I like to share my race experiences good, bad, in between or I don't know.

This is about our M/T PBRs 29.5 x 10.5 with 100+ runs. This is our 3rd set of PBRs & up to this past weekend haven't had any issues with them.

This was our 1st time at Famoso in Bakerfield, CA with the ProCharged combo. This track has a lower elevation & better air than we are used to in Vegas. The DA ranged from about 1200' - 2500' & the temps ranged from high 60s to mid 80s.

Anyway, our 60's were varying a good amount between 1.34 - 1.35. Plus, we had 3 runs with tire shake, then into tire spin. The tire did hook after a quick peddle.

For the last day of racing, Sun. I added a real mild launch retard to the tune. While I only got 2 runs after doing that, the 60' repeated with 2 1.366s.

I really don't blame the tires this past weekend. I'm asking a lot from this tire, bracket racing in the 5.6 - 5.7 range 1/8th mile. While I think the launch retard is a crutch (maybe). I did see a video of one of my runs. I noticed I need to tighten the extension on the front shocks.

Launch Retard capability is Excellent! Some always or sometimes use it, some never use it and many don’t have it.

I intend to do more testing using the retard. I'm pretty sure I need to be using this full time.
