Nice looking car. My 66 Chevy 11 has same problem. I have to jack car way up and then remove shocks and drop rear end way down to get back tires off. Just the way it is when you have big tires under a low car like that with those type fenders. Looks good but pain in the tail to remove them. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/ "Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. Wow! just saw your picture. With that driveshaft loop you may have to remove driveshaft also to get it to drop low enough to get tires off. Get a racecar it will be fun they said. On mine I put car on shop floor and jack it up real high in the back. Put jack stands under it and then remove bottom of shocks and lower it down with floor jack until I can work the tires out. With the long wheel studs even then it is tight. ![]() https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/ "Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. Just noticed something else on your picture. Do you have an Anti-Roll bar on top AND a Sway bar on bottom? If you do I would remove one end of shocks and raise and lower the rear end through complete travel and make sure it is not binding or fighting each other. Your four link moves in one arc and the Anti-Roll and Sway bars move in another and could cause binding. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/ "Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. That driveshaft loop is supposed to be within 6" of front yoke. Maybe there is one up there too. when I half backed my car I made sure I could get enough travel to easily remove the 33 tall tires if needed with simply jacking the car up. shorter studs will help, and looked like you will need to disconnect a bunch as mentioned. Deflating the tires will also help some.

If you take one end of the diagonal link loose it will allow the rear to move out of the wheel some also.

When I had my Belvedere I had to jack it way up, unbolt shocks, and unbolt drive shaft before tire would clear wheel opening. Yes pain in the rear but sure looked and worked good. ![]() Dave "It is usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance." -Thomas Sowell
