How do you go about removing the most fluid from a powerglide without removing it from the car? | ||

drain plug and or pan along with coolant lines. Almost impossible to get it out of the converter without removing converter. | |||

Do like Chrysler did drill a 5/16 hole near a mounting lug tap it 1/8 npt install a plug. Rotate it to bottom and drain until empty. Blow out the cooler along with its lines. All of mine are that way. | |||

Wow, no one with the right answer yet.. Just park it a few days in a new trailer. Fluid removes itself from the trans. 64% of the time, works every time  | |||

The transmission doesn't drain in the trailer over a few days. A lot of torque converters will drain about half their fluid back into the transmission pan over time. but you are still leaving old fluid in the converter. | |||

I wasn’t being serious, that was a joke.. On my old open trailer, Trans never leaked a drop. Got a new enclosed trailer with a nice coin floor..it starts leaking. | |||

We recommend against drilling the converter. Does FTI recommend changing fluid every so many runs. I put about 50 on my fluid and change it. Why do the converter manufacturers not put a drain in the converter? | |||

Good god!!! 50 runs? Why? I bet most are closer to 500 before changing and some filter it and put it back in, if it aint burnt its fine. I use Dexron 6 in my th400 and never change it. When the trans is serviced (1000 runs) it gets changed. I would like to try THIS BRAND next time. | |||
