I have the blue MSD coil mounted on the vibe mounts it comes with, mounted on the factory firewall of my Camaro. I have a ground wire from the coil negative to the head of the motor. I had the car running and my hand leaned against one of the mounting bolts for the coil and I got a good tingle of electricity from it. Anyone experienced this?

Way too often. Without data, you’re just another guy with an opinion.

No solution? Is it a problem?

I try to avoid ignition components when the car is running lol but seriously I've wired so many cars with only the power and ground back to the box. Id guess something is going on inside the coil. Denis LeBlanc

My personal choice is to ground the heads to chassis ground and use the standard two wire ignition +/- for the coil. I also like to ground the starter housing.

yes, I stopped putting my hand on the cap when the ignition is powered up. It doesn't happen with every engine, but on the ones it does happen, I am not about to change parts and keep shocking the p!ss out of myself to find out why. Without data, you’re just another guy with an opinion.

I've got a lot of good grounds on my car that go all the way back to the neg. battery post. Coil is on vibe mounts that come with the coil. It's the actual cap screws that mount the coil that gave me the tingle, no where near the high voltage terminal of the coil.
